Aloha Friday

I have been having a tough time shopping for the men in my life. In the previous post I needed help with Dad. Still do, I have not done any shopping. I go but leave empty handed. Only a week to Christmas and I need to get going.
Here's the Question:

Can you tell me what you've given your men in the past?

  5. I try to get something I think they'll love or something sentimental that makes me think of them or makes me think of ME and them. I do a lot of picture gifts for my dad and husband - also one year I got my dad the movie All Dogs Go To Heaven on DVD - it was the first movie he and I saw in theaters together and I got scared in the middle and made him leave, so he never got to see the end and had been ribbing me about it ever since. It was pretty great because he even brought up the story the day I gave it to him, a couple hours before hand. I don't know if I'll ever be able to top that one.

  9. When my dad was still living, he had everything he needed so I went for the laugh. I loved to hear him laugh. I bought him novelty ties, coffee mugs, anything that reminded me of his wonderful sense of humor. Or a sweater. He loved sweaters. Since everyone is different, you just have to go with your heart. And cherish him. You're blessed to still have him with you.
