Fitness Friday -Off the Track

I haven't been active on the Wii as I should be. It did show, gained 1 lb. That is not bad, could be water gain or that extra bread I had. My daughter got the Wii Fit Bug. Thinks she is in competition with me. Not liking that. Hey, I haven't been a teen in 38 years!!! Running up to me to announce her hula hoop score,if I had a body like hers I could swing my hips like her. As I posted earlier this week I added some new characters and it is creepy to see the Lord running and Stepping with me. Adds a new meaning to the Lord is your Friend and guide. Why did I let them talk me into downloading that Mii? I can't just delete the LORD, it wouldn't be right!!Oh well I know he wants me to be fit. This is a new week. I Will Wii 30 minutes each day. I wrote (typed, Blogged) it down. Need to be reminded every day. Maybe one of my readers can remind me each day.I need outside support. Help......

Fear of Eating Out

Eating out can be tricky when you are trying to loose weight. Use to love eating out. Recently it is not one of my enjoyments. I find it hard to discern if the food is healthy. Most restaurants goal is to have one return. So their food must be set apart from others or remind your taste buds of a old time. Which ever it is, it works. Most of our likes and Love of food are from memories. A Spice ,a fat flavor,or a pickle can turn on your salivary glands. Then off you go in "I can't get enough" land. My weakness is Italian food. When I taste the Garlic, Pasta, sauces and the bread my mouth just doesn't want to stop. The flavors are so go. You find that One restaurant and it remains in your thoughts forever, it seems.
My hubby is taking me out to eat today and I am not sure I can have enough willpower. Will have to rely on my Power protein drink to give it to me. I tell him "No I do not want to eat out" a lot. I need to give in every now and then. Now is the then. The Wii is calling, must go.

Sharing the Wii.

Had Company over Sunday . They wanted to see the Wii Fit. So, to the Wii we went. I showed the exercise part. Skipped over the weight log, too Private for visitors. One of the kids thought they could do the Tree. So,I had her step on the Wii-What a Riot. the Wii lady said, Your weight has seemed to changed since the last time you stepped on. We all laughed so hard. How could she tell!! everyone asked. I guess you can not have anyone else stand in you :-). Did you know you could add other people, characters to you Wii. I did not, the kids showed me how. So, Now I have Jesus Christ (The LORD),and Chuck Norris (Walker) watching. Now I will have to work out or ELSE!!!!.

Now how is one suppose to stay fit,I ask? Gave in 3 times this week! Guess I'll have to learn to hate Pizza. So,I won't want to eat so much of it. Just can not resist it. There will be no Pizza next week. Reading this Family?;-0 Do not ask:->

A Healthy Recipe 2 enjoy

Thought I would share a recipe today. My family Love Schnitzel, a German dish. I had to work on making it Healthier for us.

Turkey Schnitzel.
1 pkg of Butterball Turkey Cutlets
1/4 cup Egg beater with yolk
1/4 cup Flour
1 tsp My Salt and Pepper mix(see below in "Eating 2 Stay Fit" post)
1/4 cup Progresso Bread Crumbs-Plain
Olive oil for Sauteing
You will need Three dishes for Flour, egg, and Bread crumb dipping ,a mallet or rolling pin, a cutting board and A large skillet and a couple wired cooling rack.

Remove the Cutlets ,place them on a board and hit them with the mallet til about 1/4 inch thick. set aside
Put Flour and Salt mixture in one Dish-Mix together
Put the egg beater in one dish or wide mouth bowl.
Put Bread crumbs in last dish
dredge the Cutlet in the Flour, then dip in egg beater, lastly put in crumbs and pat both sides.Put each cutlet on the Drying rack a let sit. Repeat til all cutlets are done(I find it easier to use a tong when dipping the Cutlets)

Heat pan on Med high heat. Once heated Add Olive oil. Start with about 3 Tablespoons (You can add more if needed). it is important that you not add the oil until the pan is heated, this prevents the Cutlets Sticking to the pan.
Add Cutlets, leave some space between them. the cooking time is only about 2 to 3 minutes per side,Until they are golden brown. lay them on a clean Wirer cooling rack when done ( you can put the rack in a cookie sheet and place in a 150 fh degree oven to keep warm.)

I usually serve it with Wide egg noodles(yolk free). Sometime I will make a mushroom sauce to top it with. Enjoy. Let me know how you liked it.

2 Many Holidays for Weight Watchers

Now that St Patty's Day is officially over(the Day only) all the Green M&Ms, Cupcakes and Chocolate Coin are gone. I helped with that, for sure. The Creators for all the "holidays" must never had to check their weight. It seems we have one every month. January-New years, February-Valentines and Chinese New year,March- St Patrick's Day,April- Easter,May-Mothers day and Purim, June-Fathers Day and Flag Day, July-Independence Day,August- was a non holiday month until I saw a new one slipped in- Civic Day,September- Labor Day and Rosh Hashannah, October- Halloween, November- Thanksgiving and December-Chanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas.
There you have it, all the months Covered,Treats for everyone. The Candy and Chocolate company have gone wild. All the products in the Market for that Special day. People who Struggle with weight and food issues are at risk here.
Cholesterol and Triglycerides are the two big risks. They are effected by Fats and Sugar. Too Much sugar can raise the Triglycerides and high Saturated and trans Fats raise your Cholesterol. All this information to show you the weakness of the weight watcher is Candy and Chocolate. Should we stop eating them? NO!Not Me. But moderation is the key.

A Workout With the Wii

Worked out on the Wii yesterday. Checked my Wii age,it was 4 years younger then me! The first time I started the Wii age was 14 years older. I think I am getting the knack of the Hula hoop. I had to put the Wii control on my waist. I still have issues with catching the hoops tossed. My Mimi does not move in sequence with me. I tried ski jumping. What a riot. Snowball express here I come. Good thing it isn't real,I'd be in traction for sure.LOL.

Eating 2 Stay Fit

I really love eggs. Trouble is the Cholesterol is not user friendly. My Levels tend to run on the high side. Now my hubby can eat all the eggs he wants and yes his level stay ultra low. Been eating (EB) eggbeater with yolk. I enjoy the taste but miss the whites. Could not stand the White only, even with added spices. Just did nothing for me.
So, today I tried something different. I started out with 1/4 cup of EB with yolk mixed with Canadian Bacon. Cooked that til almost done then added 1/4cup of EB Whites. Added my salt and pepper mix and finished cooking. It was great, tasted like a real egg. Only about .5gm Sat fat, which is acceptable to me.
If you would like my salt and pepper mix Here it is: White pepper ,Black pepper and Sea salt. Mix together- to your taste. Put it in a shaker and use as much as you want. On what ever you want

Getting Fit

Welcome to My Blog. I have been on a Yoyo path for many years. Twenty seven to be honest. Have always felt Like I had a weight problem. So, in that one is apt to fail.
I believe when one Learns and accepts their body type then the real loss can happen.
It took me years to finally realize that. I am at that place.
I have a stomach, all the women in my family tree do. My figure is hour glass. the scales seem to weigh on the heavier side of the recommended weight. I do not look what the scales say.
There are no excuses for my weight issues. However there are circumstances. In the 1980s I was diagnosed with endometriois . A decease of the endocrine system. I went though several surgeries and was put on Drugs to kill the decease. One of the side effect of the drugs were weight gain. And I did gain. Another one was Bone Growth. My bones did grow, Shoulders broadened and Breast plate enlarged. Bones add weight to ones scale.for 10 years I was on and off of meds.
I took fertility drugs during that time. I gain pounds and no children born alive.
In the 90s' I had a Total hysterectomy. I never felt better then I did at that time, health wise.
I blog this to tell you, I am at a point in my life to change my pattern, to get healthier.
I will be using the Wii Fit and Pilates with Weekly outside Activities. Blogging Recipes I find helpful in my path to Health.
Check in to see how I am doing.
