What's happening....

Now that we are in a new year, things are changing already. There are several things that have happened. One, free advertisers are closing down, like Adgitize,CMF and some other one.
Two I have notice blogs are slowing down as to visitors. However, Social sites like Twitter and Facebook are growing. Three, there was no person of the Year on the Time Magazine, only a group of people( protestors). Four, the Rose Tournament parade and Rosebowl game was moved to January 2. What happening? Does this mean 2012 will be a year of changes and life as we know it will be different?

I think so. The internet will be changing and the readers will want different material to view. We will be looking at people differently. Travel will be looked at in a different eye. Will we go to new places or just stay close to home. I am so eager to see what will happen to the BloggerWorld. Will we still be blogging and what will your content be in this New Year.

My Daughter is graduating High school, so I know our World will be changing. My blogs will probably change also. I hope to do more on my Kitchen/ Food blog. I little more on the Review blog and just maybe this one will see some real changes. Maybe even a New Look.

Health and Long life is still on every ones mind. Therefore I do not think this one will go away. However the content could see a big change. Maybe inspired more on News and New technology, New findings as well as New information on being healthy.

Well 2012 will be a brand New look and views on all things. I know that online outreach will be a great tool used on changing thing. Just like it made the Bankers rethink their added fees. The power of this tool can be the one thing that is used to make changes and keep folks in check.

Happy New Year to you all and most of all make a difference this year in some way.

Sunday Updates- A Yearly Review.

I have noticed a trend in my writing style. Trying to keep this Blog on subject content is a goal of mine. Looking back I started out on weight control and my struggles. Working with the Wii and other products. Searching for the product that will be my Niche. Later on I realized not too many passer-byers were interested in my struggles. Folks seem to stay for a while but as the year goes on they lose interests. What more can one write about? We have covered all there is. Just eat healthier and exercise that is the answer to a healthier you.

Then when Hubby convinced me to look into the Green thing, I realized that this was worth writing about. Going solar was a great step for us. But was that the only Green thing to think about? How about expanding to the environment to the home. Is our Home healthy, do we have products that are unhealthy in them and how can we change that?

The Going green and living healthier idea became a way of life for us. It is such an important aspect to living a longer life. However I have notice not very many visitors are interested. Notice this not just on this blog but on other Green blogs as well. No comments in their post sections.

What is wrong with this picture? All the research we do can not convince folks to get on the bandwagon and look at their lives and habits. How were we trained up? There seemed to be a generation that really do not care about living healthy. My assumption is this is a younger, under 30 some, that are only interested in the now. I too was like that until recently. After Mom got cancer and I started to learn more about our environment being the cause for some types. Like the way we eat, the things we breath, the products we use, and the regions we live in. This made me think twice about my home environment, my families life and what can be done to change the life of cancer and unhealthy living on our planet.

Some companies have started to change their product ingredients. Some Stores have made a stand on waste landfill product using. Counties and Cities are redefining their recycling plans. I think we are as a nation working on this matter and trying to recreate a healthier environment.

Now back to this blog content. My main reason for looking back at the content is to make this a better blog. Taking a over all view of the contents. What was interesting to the readers and what was just Blogfill. I will be looking at ways to enhance my site . You can help by giving me feed back. Did you like this years changes? What would you like more of?
I will continue to do my Monthly Updates on Solar and Going green. That is for all those wanting real life feed back of product productions.

My family is getting more Green minded in our thinking. The above photo is of my family, Hubby, Lyd and me. We are going green together. Raising a green minded generation child is our goal. Life long and prosper in a healthier earth.

Blogging Etiquette

Blogging etiquette can be tricky. Learning to blog in this bloggers world can be a challenge. I have only been at it for about 2 years. Have made some mistakes and folks angry. Have trusted in some things I should not have. Being careful not to post things that would offend folks but, at the same time being me can be mindbogglingly.

I started a Series called Got Evidence, this was to give the evidence I found on a subject. Note it is not to promote my opinion on the subject. Sometimes I just want to know the facts. Guess I should have been a detective, after all my Grandfather was one and I must have it in my blood. As a teen I always wanted to know Why, on just about everything. Oh yes I was a most difficult teen. In my Wiser years I am still the same, always searching for the Whys and Hows. Recently some medical problems have enter the family life. Knowing the facts before going the the doctors are a must. However Posting the Facts on a blog can cause reactions that one was not anticipating.

Back to the Etiquette's of blogging. Somewhere there has to be a List or for a better term an Etiquette book on blogging. Oh there are many bloggers who post their view of what blog Etiquette should be. There are suggestions on commenting, writing article, visiting bloggers, using other folks material and giving credit, emailing, returning visit on those comments, How to spam or not to Spam, you name it it is cover on some folks blogs. They are trying to help Blogger get along in this World of the internet blogs.

Trying to make it easier to visit and manage a blog with out offending fellow bloggers is harder then one can fathom . I would imagine there are also Seminars to attend, and videos to view on Bloggers rules. However are they all on the same path? You see there doesn't seen to be a blogger Etiquette Book or rules that transcends across the Bloggerworld International. Seems to me that anything goes in the bloggers mind set.

Yes each blogger is an individual that created their own blog to suit their needs. Some are not in the taste of certain surfers, while others are very popular in the World of Bloggers. Can there really be Rules of Etiquette for Bloggers around the world? I really do not know that answer. One thing that is important to me is that I respect the visitors to my blogs and that they respect my views. In a way it just like the real world... some folks are friends and some are acquaintances. Some stop by with a mission and some just to say Hi. There are the ones who follow silently and some that are very boastful. Let's not forget the ones who are in this for the money, trying to make a penny and leaving that link to a special item you might want to purchase. How do we handle those folks? Let's call them Solicitors, who know the ones who rings your doorbell.

If I had to make a list for Blogger Etiquette is would be..........
Well I think I will save that for a Got Evidence Post. Need to do more research before I can make an educated decision. Until then I will try my best to use some sort of Etiquette that will be within my moral compass.

How do they do that?-Leaving Links in Comments.

Ever wonder how someone can leave a true link in a comment? I had several folks do this, so one day I tried a few things and came up with a way. Now I know some blogger have that Comment Luv program. However I have not been able to enable it on my blogs. This is the next better thing.
  • First copy your post link to your clipboard
  • Then open a New posting window.
  • Once in the window. Type your link title; ie: "My Friday link for You"
  • Next highlight your link title and click on insert link. I have an icon in bloggers tool bar.
  • Right click in the box and click Paste.
  • Now save the post. I have a post date of some year like 2017, that way it is always on the top of my post list. If I accidentally click post and it does post on the blog, I can fix it to save again.
  • Open the post up in the Edit Html mode. Highlight the entire link. and when you visit other blogs you can, after typing your comment, right click and paste in their comment box underneath your comment.
I found it easier to do than always typing in the html. This way I leave my photo icon plus a way for someone to visit if they wish. You can continue to use this link by return to it and changing the link when needed. Have fun commenting today.

Blogger Visitor- Dropping by or Commenting

When I first started blogging I did not understand why so many would visit and yet not comment. I thought it was the material. Then once I started visiting more sites I realized that some folks just visit for Money, not really interesting in the blog. Another thing I noticed was that other blogs did not have comments either. I think it is important to comment when you like something. However the blogger community isn't always what one thinks. My visits to blogs grew to about 900 a day. I found myself not commenting as much, but yet reading some of the blog I visited. So there I was reading an not commenting! Oh that was so easy to do. That really opened my eyes. I also thought if I comment they would return the favor, not so. Oh yes I got emails, thanks for visiting my blog messages. Wow that was different, never thought of doing that. Would it make bloggers visit more. Well I will never know. For a long time I would do Memes and visit all 159 plus links and commented on all them, but only a fraction would leave a comment on my Meme Link Post. I learned how to leave a meme link in their comments, did that help? Not really. All these tools and ideas just to get some communication on a blog....Is it worth the time and energy? That is still open to see. Anyhow you look at it, I enjoy visiting blogs and reading them and commenting when I can. As well as I enjoy the comments I receive on my blogs.
I have all different types of blogs, some are more family based and receive more comments. Then there are the ones that have a lot of followers and hopefully they read the text. I have only been at the blogging thing for a little over a year. Learning all the time. How to get more traffic, comments, and make the blog more appealing. I love learning new things. I enjoy every visitor to my blogs, whether they leave a comment or not. You see I have grown in my blogger minded view. I will continue leaving comments on the blogs I visit that make me think or brighten my day. Thanks for visiting and reading my blogs. Have a great day.
