It's In the Bag

It has been a while since I did an update on our recycling adventure. We are doing well. I am finding it easier to use the cloth bags and the family is getting better at using them. Our stores seem to not be against them anymore. Gladly excepting them to hold our merchandise. Hubby still has a hard time and brings home those plastic things. I hope he reads this a gets with the program! He is such a stickler on the Energy usage, always turning of lights and replacing them with those kind I do not like... but tolerate. Now if I could just get him on the bag cycle things. Now as far as the Recycles to the curb, we all do well with that. Have notice that the regular trash day are now just down to one trash can! That is a great defeat for us. We used to have three cans full. Now with this Green mind, our family seems to be living thinking first and doing our part.
So How are you doing with Recycling?

It's In The Bag Monthly Update.#6

We are greening along just fine. Still using our greener bags when we shop. I do still use paper bags at the commissary. It is very hard to use the green cloth bags when we purchase our Monthly groceries. I would go more during the month, but with gas prices it is not economical. However on the local grocery pick up during the month, we use the cloth ones.
I got a new bag that fits in the side pocket of my purse. I used it a lot last month.
I really like it, as you can see it rolls up small making it easy to always with you.

Open..It is large and straps are very comfortable.

So how are you doing?

It's In The Bag-Monthly update #4

It the first and time for an update. We have been doing well with the Cloth/reusable bags. I think it is starting to be a habit. Still working hard on turning the house into a green home. More about that later.
Our solar has been up and running for 12 days. We have saved 564.2 lbs of CO2 and Produced 331.9 kWh in that time. Now we have had some overcast days and the days are getting shorter. This all will effect the amount of kWh produced. As the day start to getting longer, after the December Solstice, we will see a high number. How are you doing?
