Do you think one who is trying to lose weight, should weigh them themselves every day?

  5. Weight Watchers says to weigh yourself once a week since different things can affect your weight from day to day.

  7. I have heard that you shouldn't but I have been wanting to loose a few extra pounds and so I weigh myself each day cause it helps me stay motivated.

  8. I don't think so. Some may need it, but it's more of a depressing factor and will make many just give up dieting.

  9. No, doing that always made me crazy. There are too many subtle changes on a day to day. Once a week is the way to go.

  13. No I don't because I think if there is no weight loss it just makes it harder on the person trying to lose the weight to keep doing it. People like to see results and when you do it's inspirational :) Have a great weekend :)

  14. I think everyday is a bit much, because if you don't see a change it could be discouraging. When on a diet I usually weigh myself every week. However, I read online that dieters who weigh themselves daily lost more...

  16. No. Absolutely not.
    If you weigh yourself daily:
    1) You begin to not notice improvement & think that your still too large (kinda like people when they are tanning).
    2) It becomes stressful which can cause more of a weight gain.

  18. Definitely not. I think we need to understand that our weight fluctuates so much. Once a week is good. I have not weighed myself in a few weeks. Yesterday, I finally did and was happy that my weight loss finally reached 10 pounds. 5 more to go!

  19. I wouldn't advise someone trying to lose weight to weigh in every day. That could get obsessive and lead to hard frustrations with your body.

    Maybe every week or after two weeks is good.

    I would say once a week and don't just weigh yourself but measure yourself with a tape measure. Some times when you work out you can gain numbers but lose inches. You need to join up with the ladies from mamavation.com

  21. I'm glad everyone said No. I agree! It might depress you if you weren't making progress weight-wise, but you may be building muscle if you're exercising.
